“My creative side never seems to shut off...I see images in my dreams that later become art.”
-Allison Acree Hunt

aboutartist

Allison Acree Hunt, a native of Nashville, graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.  She began her professional career as a graphic designer in Atlanta. She was selected to do design work for the Atlanta Steeplechase, the Memphis in May Celebration, the Summer Lights Festival in Nashville, the Nashville Steeplechase, and the Splendors of the Ottoman Sultans in Memphis among many others. In 1999, she designed the poster for the Great Gulf Coast Arts Festival in Pensacola, where she has lived since 1997 and now calls home.

After many years in graphic design, Ally returned to her artist roots and began painting the bright, sometimes whimsical, but always colorful acrylics for which she has become known. “People tell me that when they look at my work it makes them smile. That’s the greatest compliment that I could have.”
